Nice concept and execution of this invite.
This is a crab that I purchased to use for one of my poster/quote designs. I decided to get it from the chinese supermarket in china town and didn’t actually realise they would be ALIVE until the shop assistant picked one up and it flinched! Ewww! But…I managed to find one already dead so I took that one happily! I had a lot of fun working with this, taking photos and especially when I had to draw on its shell! As I hadn’t done much of this type of design work, it was really good to work with different medium!
Here is an example of how the ‘goth’ quote will look like. Obviously there will be much more type with the whole quote being made like this. I really like the difference in texture and stock! I wanted it like this so the poster could be an ‘all black’ poster relevant to the ‘goth’ part of the quote. It is hard to cut out especially as the text is rounded and has a lot of detailing but once practised, I’m confident it will look great!
This is an example of the 1st A of my ‘monstaa’ quote! So far I am happy with the out come of it!…but….I have run out of cotton and, when I went to buy some more, turns out I was using the wrong stuff and they don’t stock what I was using….so its back to the start for me…..(And this takes so long to do) :))
This is the beginning stages of my ‘MONSTAA’ poster. I have decided to cross stitch the poster as it links into the age of the person (child) who I heard the quote off of! This is the start of the 1st ‘A’.
This is my procon 3 blog, but I have 3 more that are as interesting!
As each section has its own blogspot I have added these links so u don’t miss out on anything!

So for today I have just been finishing off my boards for hand in tomorrow! I managed to finish my final quick time movie thursday morning, so I had the weekend to work on finishing my sketchbook and printing off the boards. To be honest I am pretty happy to have got this project out of the way so I can focus entirely on my FMP, although this does mean I am getting closer and closer to graduating! Argh! :)

So i am actually happy with the feedback i got from Gary in todays afternoon motion session.
I only had the first 30 seconds of my motion piece to show him and all in all he didnt think that there was much changes needed to make it better. All that was said was that some of the background could do with being animated as it adds more for the viewers, to add in people saying the quotes to show difference and allow people who watch the motion piece to be able to get what is being portrayed.
I also had to re-learn how to write on a piece of type design to make it appear it is being written onto the screen.
All of my type motion is different from each other as it reflexs the difference in personality and the people who these quotes are from.
PDP Diary - FMP
So far i have designed a variety of responses to the quotes that i have gathered together. I have designed these responses all typographically.
I have found that a lot of my designs are too similar to each other so i have come up with a new angle to add difference to each of them. Some of the quotes will work much better as photographs or not specific stock, so this is going to be my focus.
All of the final designs will be incorporated into some form of book binding so whilst i am designing i will need to keep in mind the final deliverable.
I love this typography design as it is so detailed and elegant. The constant flow of the design makes the type look expensive and elegant.
